YouTuber's and fellow Bloggers have been buzzing about the "Yes to" products.
I have tried the Yes to Carrots DC before and I tried the regular conditioner offered
in the line.
I tried the products last year and wasn't impressed.
I kind of felt out of the loop because everyone was RAVING about how good
Yes to Carrots was and ect.
Well recently I came across Yes to Cucumbers leave in and as you all know, I love it.
A local Rite Aide sells the "Yes to" line so I wanted to see if they had
any Yes to Cucumbers products in stock.
They didn't and I was very disappointed because I wanted to try the cucumber conditioner
that is the new rave in the natural hair community.
(I really wish I wasn't a product junkie, LOL)
I did see the carrots conditioner that I tried last year
and I decided to give it another shot.
This time around I LIKED IT!
I used it as a leave in which worked better for my hair.
I flat twisted my hair last night with the carrots conditioner and it gave my hair great slip!
When I woke up this AM and unraveled my twits my hair was SO SOFT and FLUFFY.
I was very impressed with the results.
I am also glad that I tried the conditioner again and that I found a way to make it work
for me.
Here are some pics of my hair today.
I tried to get some good texture shots so that you all could see the definition of my curls.
Tried the "Yes to" line?
What's your favorite product?
xoxo,
Alex

I do like the Yes to Carrots conditioner..It made my hair VERY soft...but it has a silicone..not sure if you knew..im tryna go the curly girl method and not use cones or sulfates...excelllent definition tho..oh and THANKS for the puff tutorial I cant view now cause im at work but as soon as i get home...Can you do the puff if your transitioning?!
ive tried both..carrots first and then cucumber. they are both great. maybe carrots is better for the colder months because its so thick. im not sure yet. the cucumber is a bit lighter. BOTH melt away the tangles instantly. its rediculous. LOVE IT
Essence, that's a good point you made. I tried the Yes to Carrots during the colder months. It kept my hair soft, but it was not a great detangler. I've since moved on to Yes to Cucumbers (which they have 2 different kinds of conditioners! one I like, one I don't). The Daily Makeover conditioner is FAB for co-washing (it gets a little sudsy). It has better slip IMO than Yes to Carrots and I still get soft hair. I can't do leave-in with either though because they make my scalp itch terribly.
thanks, now I feel like I have to buy this
u can find the cucumbers in Ross (or those like it) for $4 :)
the cucumbers didnt wow me as much as carrots. i find the carrots more moisturizing. i do looove the carrots mud mask though!
I just tried Yes to Cucumbers color care conditioner after hearing so many naturals raving about how great and multi-purpose it is.
I tried it this past weekend after shampooing as a semi-DC (no heat). I loved how it felt in my hair, but not so much after rinsing. I used it as a leave-in though and love, love, love it.
This week I'll try co-washing with it and see how it goes.
