Anita Grant's Rhassoul Deep Condish Cube DC Recipe

These cubes are my favorite! Anita Grant's Rhassoul Clay Cubes are super easy use, great for the hair and quite fun to mix together. I've tried these magic conditioning cubes before and I loved them. The lovely folks at AG sent me a few more to try and I think I just might love them more! See below for how I use and mix my rhassoul clay cubes...

large storage container
1/2 cup of coconut milk
3 Anita Grant Rhassoul Cubes
1/4 of a banana
(I recommend using jarred baby food banana. It's less messy and easier to rinse out.)
1/3 cup of Agave nectar or honey
1/2 of Castor Oil

Step 1: Mash up or puree your banana until smooth
Add your agave nectar and castor oil and mix together well with the banana.

Step 2: In a microwave safe bowl add your coconut milk and heat for 1.5 minutes

Step 3: Add your clay cubes. I ended up using all 3 because my hair is thick.

Step 4: Once your cubes start to soften in the hot milk stir slowly to aide the process.
Eventually the mixture will start to thicken. The cubes have melted in the milk, add your other ingredients.

Step 5: Put your mixture into the storage container and allow to cool in the fridge for about an hour.

While I waited for my rhassoul clay to cool down I pre-poo'd my hair and detangled before applying. I like to apply mine when it's cool because I feel like the mixture is given a chance to settle and thicken. When applying be sure to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. The application process is messy. You may want to lay a towel down and use gloves.

(See the banana chunks? Ugh. Use jarred bananas! LOL)

Side Note: My hair is growing quite nicely since my cut.

Washing out the clay and banana was not fun. Mainly the banana but that was totally my fault. Other than that, I am still very much in love with these easy to use cubes.  Want to know a fun fact about coconut milk and why I love using it in my DC mixtures? The milk of coconut is rich in protein and other nutrients and this makes its intake good for healthy hair growth. Apart from that, it is one of the popular and effective kitchen remedies for healthier hair. Topical application of coconut milk is claimed to boost hair growth in addition to helping rid dandruff, hair fall and graying. It has also been observed that use of coconut milk on hair can make your mane softer.

After rinsing, I simply two strand twisted my hair after sealing with castor oil and detangling with my handy dandy tangle teezer! I will post pics of my hair tomorrow. Hopefully it will still feel soft and fluffy!

If you want to try these lovely cubes out for yourself, you can buy them here. In the meantime, AG sent me some shampoo bars to give away. If you would like a chance to win a couple, leave your email address below in the comment box. I will be choosing winners by Friday at 6pm. :)

xoxo,
Alex

I would definitely love to try it! Just wondering, how much castor oil do you use in your mixture? It says 1/2 but it doesn't say what it is 1/2 of.
