A few weeks ago I was sent an email that had information regarding Free Your Mane's Restorative Hair Oil. After looking thorough the products PDF file I decided to contact the PR firm who emailed me and ask them for a sample. Immediately I got a response and was thrilled when I received the full sized product two days later. I've read great things about FYM's product line and I remember wanting to try it last year but the prices are pretty steep. The oil retails for $25 and is only a 4oz bottle but I must say it just might be worth it. You can read my full product review under the jump. After using this oil for about 2 weeks now, I am in love! Definitely a new staple product of mine.
My experience: I love this product! It leaves my hair smooth and super soft, I think that's due to the "cones" which my hair doesn't seem to mind. As directed, I use the oil after washing and conditioning my hair. Now, what I like most about the FYM Restorative Oil is that it's a multipurpose product. I have used it a few different ways: under my gel after wash and gos, as a heat protectant for blowouts and to take down my twists for to prevent frizzy twist outs. All of those ways have given me amazingly soft frizz free results. As you all know I recently got a hair cut and when I wash my hair my curls are POPPING and extremely defined. I think that the oil helps bring out my curls even more! My favorite way to use the oil is under a gel on damp hair, kind of as a sealant. A little bit of the oil goes a long way and even in my thick head full of hair a quarter size drop or two gets the job done.

Overall: I am going to savor this oil until it's at its last drop! I really enjoy the product and yes, I recommend you try it if you don't mind spending the money. As mentioned earlier the price is kind of up there but I like it so much that I would purchase when it runs out. You can find FYM products here.

I tried a sample of this from CurlBox and I loved it as well! My hair was so soft from this. I'm not quite willing to part with $25 for it though. Maybe when I'm in the mood to splurge I'll purchase this.
