I don't think words can explain how much I love this stuff! I've been wanting to try As I Am products for quite sometime so when I discovered the line at Target, I stocked up. People in the curly world have been raving about the infamous Coconut CoWash and after today I can see exactly why.
Where do I start? How about with the pleasant sweet fruity scent? I am a fan of products that smell good without being too overpowering. The Coconut CoWash has a subtle scent that I like. It smells familiar and is a bit nostaglic but I cannot put my finger on it.
The next best thing about this product is the smooth texture! It feels like pudding, the consistency is perfect and it slides on my strands flawlessly. Now, initially I thought I would need a lot of this to get the job done but a little went a long way. I used the cowash on my current HeatFreeHair install and was really satisfied at how soft it left the hair. Detangling with this was a breeze, I actually didn't even rinse all of it out; my hair feels fabulous.
I really love that this product is of good quality and is inexpensive! There is nothing better than an amazing product (conditioners to be exact for me) that doesn't drain your bank account. The Coconut CoWash contains some awesome ingredients too. A few of the key ingredients are castor oil, coconut oil and phytosterols.
Fun Fact: Phyto-what? Phytosterols are compounds found in plants that resemble cholesterol.The great thing about these sterols is that they have anti-inflammatory and anti-irritation property that can help repair damaged skin and condition hair.
If you haven't tried the Coconut CoWash I highly suggest that you do!If there's a Target near you pop in a grab a jar or two (save money on shipping). I literally got the last jar on the shelf, it goes fast!
I think I found another new staple product to use in my hair routine...

This product is nothing short of amazing! Glad you were able to find some in your local area. Once Target started carrying it, I knew I was just fine. :)
I love their products!!! I have some stocked up for when I take my Marley Twists out.
I really need to revisit this co-wash, I tried it about 2 years ago and returned it after one use because I didn't like it at all!

I just discovered As I Am products this past weekend at Sally's Beauty Supply. I tried the Twist Defining Cream on Sunday for a curly fro, along with a bit of Eco Styler Gel. I was very pleased with the results and the hold I got. After reading your review of the co-wash, I will probably try that one next!
