If you all didn't know, I am a HUGE FAN of "
The Mop Top Maven Blog." I absolutely LOVE that blog and I read it almost every day. I came across a post offering advice on how to implement an Ayurvedic Regimen in 2011 as a "hair challenge". I decided to give it a try. I ordered all the products I needed to participate and I should be expecting them in the mail any day now. I cannot wait to get started with this. Once my products arrive I will do a length check so I can document my growth during this time. I plan on participating until my 2 YEAR mark of being natural. Hopefully this regimen will aide me in reaching APL. I will be 2 years natural on 9/26, so about 8.5 months away. My goal is to not only retain length but to also grow EXTREMELY healthy hair. *crossing my fingers* All the products I needed for this challenge are ALL natural, holistic hair care? Sounds GREAT to me.
Anyone participating in this challenge already? If not, do you want to join in? I'm excited! Happy Growing!!

I am!!! I'm going the ayurvedic route as well... I love that this is the least expensive route and probably most beneficial for the hair as well...:) I made an Ayurvedic Conditioner last weekend that worked out REALLY well for my hair!!
Although I am not participating in the hair challenge, I do use a lot of natural products!! Thanks again!!

I LOVE MTM's blog!! She is amazing!! I'm doing the challenge!! I'm using a combination of natural + traditional products since I have a TON that I need to use up! & I just got my ends trimmed for a fresh start :) Ayurevedic is something I want to try out in the future, I hear amazing things about it.
I remember scanning through that article but my question is do you have to purchase the products or can you just make your own?
you have to buy the ayurvedic products. they r very cheap.
i love that blog (and her jewerly line!), and i am also in her challenge. am doing a combo natural and ayurvedic, and i more than likely will be on a strict ayurvedic cleansing and dc regimen the last half of 2011. happy growing!!
I'm taking part in it as well - I was refreshing like crazy over the weekend waiting for the posts that never came :/
Because my life can get hectic, I'm doing all three - traditional for when I can't be bothered to make up my own, DIY for when I do have the time to make up my own and Ayurvedic for when I have lots of time to rinse it out of my hair!
Good luck on reaching APL!
I'm participating but, i'm doing both trad. and ayurvedic methods
