My Experience:
I usually use MJ's Baby Buttercreme but I had this lying around so I decided to give it a try for a twist out. I liked the results but I definitely prefer the baby buttercreme versus the curly buttercreme. The smell of this buttercreme is way too strong for my liking and wasn't as moisturizing. I had to use some shea butter and "Curl"s milkshake moisturizers to give me some slip and clumping. I think that I will stick with the baby butterecreme. The products essentially do the same thing BUT I prefer the smell and moisture I get from Baby Buttercreme.

Overall:
I won't repurchase this product. 2/5 stars for me.

Have any of you tried this product? If so, what are YOUR thoughts?

I've tried it, I loved it when my hair was shorter. But now that my hair is longer it feels really heavy on my hair, I probably won't purchase again.

I havent tried this, but for the price I'd think they have better ingredients! petroleum and mineral oil in the same ingredient disgusts me.lol

I love the curly buttercreme it leaves my hair very moisturized and shiny. I like the smell of peppermint so the smell doesn't bother me. I have natural 4A/B hair type. Folks are complaining about this creme not defining their curls. It's NOT supposed to. It's a moisturizer and not a styling aid. You will get flakes if you use too much. A little goes along way but that's with most beauty products. All of Miss Jessie's products will leave a residue so you have to wash your hair with a sulfate shampoo.

I bought this and several other MJ products during the bogo sale last week. The peppermint is the only thing that makes it different from the Baby Buttercreme, and that is why I like it. I have a TWA and very itchy scalp, so I find that the CB soothes my scalp. I add oil afterward to seal in the moisture and define my curls.

I've never tried the product, but I'm not too impressed by the ingredients in it. I thought a product that pricey would at least be all natural.
