TGHBPSC: Mini Update

I have been really good with wearing my hair up and ends tucked. About twice a week I will wear my puffball with my ends out. Many of you know, I love my puff ball and sometimes I feel like I just need to "see" my hair. Does that make sense? It's been almost a year of protective styling for me. The PS challenge I am hosting will be soon coming to an end *sad face*. Of course, I am going to keep on trucking with it and I am sure a lot of the TGHBPSC participants will too. It's been so fun and those three months have flown by fast! Look how big my fro is in the picture above, it's definitely bigger than it was when I started. The length I am retaining is proof that hard work pays off.

The main point of this little check in post is to share with you my new favorite protective style, the twisted puff bun. I discovered the puff bun not too long ago on Curly Nikki's site and fell in love. The other day I put my own spin on it (I'm sure this is nothing new) I twisted the ends of the puff and tucked/pinned them together. This look was so elegant and pretty! Not only that but it can be dressed up or down.  A tutorial is coming soon! I think you all will love it. Click the jump for some pics.

What's your favorite protective style? Please share the wealth below.

Hi Sis, I really wish I have known about your protective Challenge, I would have involved. I will be in when you host another one. I enjoy styling hair but I do not have a clue as to how to style my own hair in cute styles , which is why I rarely post about my own hair. Your hair in the picture above is BEAUTIFUL! It is also kind of spunky.

The twisted bun look you did is so pretty. I'm going to try it again on a weekend so I don't have to rush. I think I know how I have to twist and pin now to get the right look :)As always, your hair is gorge!

My favorite protective style has to be hair that's in an updo after having been stretched by a braidout. It doesn't matter what updo, but I love the texture a braidout gives an updo.
